Purpose
The "Forward an email" action of "Office 365 Outlook" connector in Power Automate allows you to select a recipient and add a comment to the body of the forwarding message, nothing more.
Using ModifyAndForward flow template you can do the following:
- Modify the subject
- Modify the message body
- Add/remove attachments
Note that ModifyAndForward flow "as is" changes the prefix "FW:" to prefix "FORWARD:" in the Subject line and adds the comment "Forwarded by ModifyAndForward_Shared flow".
To do something else you have to modify the flow yourself.
Current version: 1.0.1
Installation
- Select a shared mailbox. Let's say you have the shared mailbox "processing@contoso.com" and want to forward to "user2@contoso.com"
- Run Office 365 PowerAutomate and import the ModifyAndForward1001.zip file to your flows list as described here.
-
Modify the fields shown below.
Turn on the flow.
Testing
- Send a message with Subject "Test One" and body text "Just a test message" to processing@contoso.com.
- Open the mailbox user2@contoso.com and make sure the forwarded message has been modified.
