UniSent for Outlook

Suppose that an Outlook user has access to their personal mailbox and to the additional (shared) mailboxes (usually "Info" <info@company.com>, "Sales" <sales@company.com> etc.) on an Exchange server. When a user sends an email from a shared mailbox, the email is saved in the "Sent Items" folder of the user's mailbox, not the shared mailbox's "Sent Items" folder.
This add-in ensures that the message sent from the second mailbox address will stay in the mailbox that it originated from (i.e., the sent message goes to the "Sent Items" folder of the mailbox the item was sent from).
Also, the add-in allows a user to see who was the original author of the message placed in the shared mailbox's "Sent Items" folder.

How it works

UniSent scans the sender address of each sent message in the main mailbox Sent items folder and, if it matches the additional mailbox name, moves the message to the appropriate Sent Items folder.

Installation

• Download UniSent-DEMO.zip file and extract all files
• If your Outlook is 32-bit, run UniSentSetup_per-user32.msi; otherwise, run UniSentSetup_per-user64.msi
• Run Outlook. Click File > Options > Add-ins. Verify that UniSent appears in the list of Active Application Add-ins

UniSent is distributed as a set of .msi packages and can therefore be deployed to computers or users in the organization using Windows Group Policy Software Installation.

Testing

Let's suppose that the primary mailbox name is "Victor Ivanidze" and the additional mailbox name is "TestShMbx1".

• Run Outlook and create a new message. Enable the "From:" field and enter "TestShMbx1". Fill in the remaining fields and send the message.
• Navigate to TestShMbx1 > Sent Items. Make sure that the message you just sent is placed there.
• Open View menu. Select "View Settings". Click the "Columns..." button.
  Select "All Document fields" from the "Select the available columns from:" field. Select Author field in the "Available columns:" list and press the Add button. Click the OK button to close the "Show Columns" window. Click the OK button to close "View Settings" window.
   
  
• The "Author" column will be populated with "Victor Ivanidze", confirming that Victor Ivanidze is the original author.
   
  

We have tested UniSent with Outlook 2013/2016/2019/2021 (365).

Q. I am testing the UniSent Add-in but I cannot get it to work. I have tried almost anything but anyway when I sent a mail from my ITTEST account to my personal account it is placed in my personal sentbox and not in the ITTEST sentbox.
A. Check if you have granted "Full mailbox access" right on ITTEST mailbox to yourself.

Q. Does UniSent work only on messages that are replied to or forwarded, or will it also work with messages that I originate from scratch, using the account which is not the default?
A. UniSent also works with messages that you originate from scratch.

Q. Are updates free?
A. Registered users receive free updates for one year following purchase.
