Purpose

The DeclineOffHoursInvite flow for Office 365 automatically declines meetings outside work hours based on the user's "Work hours and location" settings.

Installation

  1. Run Outlook/OWA and set your work hours and location as shown below.

  2. Run Office 365 Power Automate and import the DeclineOffHoursInvite_101.zip file into your flows list as described here.

  3. The flow uses two connections: "Office 365 Outlook" and "Office 365 Users". Select your existing connections or create new ones.

  4. Open the flow and set the trigger as shown below. Save the flow.

  5. Turn on the DeclineOffHoursInvite flow.

Testing

At any time during non-business hours send an invitation. You should get the decline response soon.

Q. Will it work on Outlook for Mac?
A. As DeclineOffHoursInvite is a Power Automate flow, it doesn't matter which email client you are using and on which platform. It will work everywhere.
