Purpose
In the classic Outlook for Windows, when you have created a rule to delete spam messages, rather than letting them go to the Junk Email folder, you may have found that this method is not reliable. This is because once a message has been marked as Junk by the Junk Email Filter, no rules will be executed for that message. You can execute your junk rules against the "Junk Email" folder manually, but not automatically.
This add-in runs rules against the "Junk Email" folder, either manually or automatically.
Click the "Run" button in the "Junk Rules" group to run the rules manually. When the "Run" button icon has a green background, rules are running automatically.
The application is a COM add-in compatible only with classic desktop Outlook for Windows. It does not support the new Outlook for Windows.

Installation
- Exit Outlook if it is running. Then download the RunJunkRules.zip, extract all files to C:\Program Files\IvaSoft\RunJunkRules, run RunJunkRulesSetup.exe, and follow the instructions.
- Open Outlook and click File > Options > Add-ins. Select "COM add-ins" in the Manage: list box (at the bottom of the dialog) and click the "Go" button. Verify that RunJunkRules appears in the list and is enabled.
Testing
- Open Outlook and click the small arrow in the lower right corner of the "Junk Rules" group to open the RunJunkRules options window.
- Select the rules you want to run when clicking the "Run" button. Click the "Close" button to exit the options window.
- Click the "Run" button of the "Junk Rules" group. Verify that the rules ran as expected.
Uninstallation
You can uninstall the add-in via Settings > Apps ("Installed Apps" in Windows 11, "Apps & features" in Windows 10).
FAQ
What is the difference between the free version and the Pro version?
The free version only runs the checked rules manually, by clicking the "Run" button. The Pro version also runs them automatically, with a configurable frequency.
How can I upgrade from the free version to the Pro version?
Open the RunJunkRules options window and click the "Register" button. The "Register RunJunkRules" dialog will appear. If you know your Registration Name and Registration ID, fill in the appropriate fields and click the "Close" button. Verify that "Version X.X.X.X Pro" appears in the status line. If you do not have the registration information, click the "Order Online" button.
