Purpose
The Outlook on the Web (Outlook Web Access) application does not natively allow you to set the default "From" address. The SetFrom extension for the Chrome and Edge web browsers inserts the pre-defined address into the "From" field of each new message. If you have a shared mailbox or a group that you have permission to send as, SetFrom pre-populates the "From" address.
This extension can work with the web interfaces of both Outlook.com (free personal email service) and Exchange Online (part of the Microsoft 365 suite of products).
Current version: 1.0.2
Installation
- Click the download link in the email from IvaSoft.
- Install the SetFrom extension.

- Open "SetFrom Options" and enter the default "From" address. Verify that this address appears in the 'Addresses to send from' list in your OWA settings.

- Reload Outlook Web Access.
Testing
- Enable "Always show From" in the options.

- Create a new message. Verify that the "From" field displays the address you configured in SetFrom Options.

The SetFrom extension has been tested with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web browsers on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
