Current version: 1.0.0.2
Purpose
Read Receipt Remover for Microsoft® Exchange 2007/2010 application (RRR) can remove the read receipt request from any e-mail message, so the Read Notification will never be sent back to the message originator. You can create a group of users that will never receive the read report requests. Optionally you can prevent sending read receipts globally or only from internal users.
The application is a Transport agent.
Benefits
Installation
On your Exchange 2007/2010 Hub Transport Server or Edge server computer:
1. Select (or create) a user account that is a member of the local Administrators, Domain Admins and Domain Users security groups.
2. Log on locally as that user.
3. Download RRR2007-Demo.zip archive file to C:\Program Files\RRR2007\ directory and extract all files.
4. Start a command prompt. If you are running Exchange 2007, navigate to C:\Program Files\RRR2007\Ex2007\ directory. If you are running Exchange 2010, navigate to C:\Program Files\RRR2007\Ex2010\ directory.
5. From the command prompt run install.bat.
Testing
1. In Active directory create a global security group named NoReadReceipts.

Add there any amount of mailbox enabled users, mail enabled public folders or Contacts you want to never send read receipts.

2. Run C:\Program Files\RRR2007\RRRsetup.exe. Click Add button. "RRR Setup - Add groups" window will appear. Click Populate button.

Select NoReadReceipts group in the list. Click OK.

Lets assume you have added RRRTEST user (mailbox) to NoReadReceipts group.
3. Using Outlook, create a new message, click View -> Options and check "Request a read receipt for this message".
4. Send this message to RRRTEST.
5. Read the message as RRRTEST.
6. Make sure a read receipt has not been sent to originator.
Limitations
