PushEvents flow

Purpose

The PushEvents flow copies events from a source calendar to the default calendar of each member in a specified distribution list. It copies both standard and recurring events. All attendees are removed, so recipients do not need to accept an invitation.

Installation

1. Choose an existing distribution list or create a new one for the recipients.
2. For each distribution list member, assign the Editor role on their Calendar folder to the account that will run the flow. To do this, run the following command in Exchange Online PowerShell for each member:
   

   Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity dlmember1@contoso.com:\Calendar -User accounttoruntheflow@contoso.com -AccessRights Editor

3. The flow uses the "Office 365 Groups" connection. When importing the flow, use your existing connection or create a new one.
   
4. Open Power Automate and import "PushEvents1001.zip", following the Power Automate documentation.
   
5. Configure the following actions in the flow:
   • Initialize variable TargetDL (parameter) — Enter the display name of the distribution list in the Value field.
   • Initialize variable SourceMailboxUPN (parameter) — Enter the UPN (User Principal Name) of the source mailbox in the Value field.
   • Initialize variable SourceCalendarName (parameter) — Enter the name of the source calendar in the Value field.
   
   
6. Turn on the flow.
   

Testing

1. Trigger the flow manually from within Power Automate.
2. After the flow completes, verify that the events appear in the target calendars.
